A Month of Firsts

Since I don't update often this may be somewhat long but mostly pictures. Here is our little girl, she loves to sit and actually pulls herself up to sit if she can grab your hands or is slightly inclined. She is growing up too fast!

She puts herself to sleep like this for naps and bedtime. I can always tell when she is tired because the hands go over the eyes every time.

Our very first parade as a family. We are normally not fans of parades (large crowds, chaos everywhere, no parking, etc) but decided to try our local city Labor Day parade out this year. Well, we were surprised by how much we enjoyed it! A good amount of candy combined with a reasonable crowd equaled a perfect family parade for those with small children.

Ellie braved her first bath with big brother. Beckett is always asking to have her in the bath with him so I decided to indulge him just once. He was surprisingly gentle and didn't try to drown her so we may end up trying it again.

We also went on a family camping trip with our friends the Jackmans. We are always trying to get pictures of Casey so you can see how we strategically put ourselves in front of Noah and Casey to get them in our shot. Perfect

We went up to Sharon Vermont to visit the birth place of Joseph Smith (the first prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). There is a camp ground right next to it that was awesome, we definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.

As you can see Elle has a semi- Mohawk. I am not a fan of girls with Mohawks so it had to go. The hair on the top of her head was about 3 inches but always stood straight up so it looks like she doesn't have hair (you can kind of see it in the first picture) so we cut it down to a little over an inch so it is more even all around. Hopefully it will grow in better.

Before:

After:

Daddy with baby girl.

and finally, her first taste of rice cereal with the first bite given by big brother. Overall she did surprisingly well with it. Day 1 down, 1 million days to go. We'll let you know how she progresses.

Little girl loves to eat and you can tell with her chunkiness all over. She turned 4 months this last week so here are the stats

Height: just below 90% (I forgot how many inches!)
Weight: 14lbs 4oz - 75%
Head: 55%

Beckett at this age was in the 50% for weight and then got skinny so we will see how she does. I think she is going to be our chunky baby but only time will tell.

It's great to see what is going on with you guys. Isabel had her first haircut this week too. Glad they can reach milestones together.

So much fun to see the latest pics of Ellie -- wow, she is growing up! Beckett is as cute as ever and I love to see him "taking care of" his little sis.

I'm a big fan of siblings tubbing together, saves a lot of time if you bathe them together (as long as there's no holding under water, etc.)

I love sleeping Elle and smiling Beckett. I was wondering why you took the pic of the square dancing ladies..........then saw the missionaries. Looked like a great parade.

What a doll! It looks like our new little Charlie will be our chunk - he's gaining weight so fast. It's funny how one kid can be off the charts small and another can be at the other end! You guys are one darling family. Thanks for the update!

Very cute kiddos that is for sure. I like the haircut. I am not a fan of mohawks either. She is growing up so fast.

That is great you go to get together with the Jackmans. Fun times.
